Limitations by Akil Osman

Limitations by Akil Osman

Maybe Don Quixote does not agree with me, but I believe, how we think of the World and how it should be is like a dream full of crap and reality full of surprises.  First in the foremost, God Almighty created the World perfectly and beautifully with everything in including humans. I can’t imagine what it's like in the fancy of the World that Don Quixote talked about if it actually happened.

One of the things that we need to keep in mind is there is no such thing as randomness in the World.  As opposed to Don Quixote and Tolstoy I believe everything happens by choice and for a reason.  For instance, Vasili and Dapple,  “...urged the horse on the direction in which for some reason he expected the forest and forester’s hut to be...” (Master and Man chapter 9).

I have no doubt, if you would ask Don Quixote afterward, he would answer the same way I did, because reality is not a fantasy and fantasy is not a reality.  “...Attach yourself to the good, and you will be one of them, and of those, Not with who you are bred, but with who you are fed” (Don quixote chapter XXXII and line 85).  In the same way, if you remember what Vasili did when he wandered around and came back to Nikita laying underground, he opened his jacket to keep him warm.  Even though,  I do not agree with Tolstoy, what he did gradually was exactly what a human should do. “That’s our way!” (Master and Man chapter 9) which means, caring for one another.   However, that doesn’t mean changing the World, it just means doing what is right and best for yourself and for others.  Nevertheless, you have to know your limitation otherwise it is meaningless.

Some argue that there is no limit to what a human can do, but I say otherwise.  “Thirty or more monstrous giants present themselves! I mean to engage them all in battle and slay them; for this is righteous warfare. It is serving God to sweep so evil a breed form off the face the earth.” (Don Quixote lines 9-11) There is a limit to what a human can do, especially in terms of changing the World. Changing the World is something impossible and bigger than human capacity.  Don Quixote thought he was going to change something for what ever reason but he failed. That should tell you something and how limited humans are.  Our life depends on the World and the World doesn’t depend on our life. Which is the way the World does affect how we live our life in every levels.

As I mentioned above, there is only one real World.  There is nothing that will change and nothing to add to it, as well.  So, all you have to do is to face reality and understand reality.  It might be meaningful if you would try understand the World from a religious standpoint because that is where is started and where it is going to end because the World is beautiful.
